AEDP-Informed EFCT Consultation Group

This is a monthly supervision group with Anne Crile, LMFT and John Wiskind, LCSW, MPH. Both of us are ICCEFT certified EFT supervisors. Anne is a level 3 AEDP therapist and John is a certified AEDP supervisor. This group counts toward hours for EFT certification when presenting.

The group integrates tape review, didactic discussions, experiential learning, and conceptual elements of both AEDP and EFT.

Both of us identify as white. We have been, and continue to, explore and learn around issues of race, racism and white supremacy. It's important to us to be direct about our intention to infuse our work and this supervision group with this framework in mind. We're looking for the group to act as a brave space to explore the ways that these issues emerge both systemically and in internalized ways within us and within the couples we’re treating.

We are excited to help you find and refine your integrated authentic AEDP/EFT voice. This group came about, in large part, due to our awareness of how our EFT work was enriched and deepened as a result of our AEDP training. As we talked with more colleagues, we realized there was a real thirst for ways to explicitly integrate these two complimentary modalities.

This group is open to ICEEFT Core Skills participants/graduates who also have AEDP training (Level 1/Immersion, or equivalent online training). Please be currently recording or open to recording your couples sessions. We are eager to help you begin recording if that's a hurdle you're struggling to overcome.

Tuition for the series is $600 and the group is capped at 8 participants. We want the group to be accessible. If you're from an under-represented group and the tuition is a hinderance, please reach out to us.

The group will meet monthly on Fridays for two hours from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Pacific on the following dates:

  • September 25, 2026
  • October 23, 2026
  • November 13, 2026
  • December 18, 2026
  • January 15, 2027
  • February 26, 2027

Each participant will have the opportunity to present once, with two participants sharing their work each meeting.

Portrait of Anne

Anne

Supervisor

I am a California, Arizona, Iowa & Wisconsin licensed marriage and family therapist (CA #86294 | AZ #15639 | IA #126195 | WI #2368-124) with nearly two decades of experience helping those who are grieving and more than a decade practicing as a therapist. My work with clients is informed by what we’ve learned about resilience, human connection, emotion, and the relationship between them.

I am a certified Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) therapist & supervisor and have advanced training in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). I specialize in working with couples and individuals navigating life-altering medical conditions and loss; women overwhelmed in the face of work, family, and personal pressure; and couples struggling to create or restore fulfilling connection.

Portrait of John

John

Supervisor

I have been working in the counseling and public health fields for the last 25 years, primarily in healthcare settings and with traumatized and marginalized populations. These experiences have taught me about people’s capacity to be resilient in the midst of overwhelming obstacles. I understand the tangible desire we all have to be the best we can be, whether in relationship with others or individually. I feel honored that I get to be a therapist for my job. I love helping people make the changes the seek.

I hold Master’s degrees in Social Work and Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the State of California. I’m a certified therapist and supervisor in both Emotion Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) & Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). I’m currently working on-line only with residents throughout California.

On a more personal note, I have lived in the Bay Area since 1994 and have been with my husband for over 25 years. I’m a parent. I love music, all kinds of performing and visual arts, hiking, biking, fiction, food, cooking, film, and travel.

Testimonials

“John and Anne are skilled supervisors. They are deeply knowledgeable about both AEDP and EFT. They facilitate a learning environment that builds expertise in both models and supports mindful, purposeful integration of different approaches to working with emotion. John and Anne create a warm holding space in which participants are able not only to improve our skill sets but also explore self-of-therapist with care and safety.”

“Anne is a wise, warm and supportive other, offering astute insights and collaboration. She is highly skilled in both EFT and AEDP and marries these theories harmoniously. She has an uncanny way of speaking to the heart of things in a perceptive and eloquent way—languageing what is at times so hard to put to words. She assists in bringing out the best in you as a therapist: always encouraging, helping you to believe in yourself and lean into your growing edge, ultimately showing up for your clients in more authentic and self-at-best ways. An active participant in anti-racist work, she brings an openness to wade into the hard and painful wounds of oppression both systemically and individually and vulnerably works to grow in her awareness.”

“John really lives up to his last name. He IS wise and kind. John is warm, open, non-judgemental, encouraging and provided such helpful feedback. I really loved having him observe and make comments on my therapeutic interventions. I wish I had him in my ear in all my sessions! His ability to coach was amazing and he made me feel at ease with his humorous, observant and generous presence.”
